Dear Diary,
My visit to Blackhorse Primary this afternoon was certainly a flying one, but I had a super time there nonetheless. My assembly was swiftly followed by a thirty-minute workshop for ninety Year 3 and 4 pupils… then immediately topped off with a thirty-minute workshop for sixty Year 5 pupils!!!

But despite the quick turnarounds and the large number of pupils per (short) session, I was incredibly impressed by how hard and how fast these students worked. They came up with some delightful story ideas and book cover designs in the short time I was there. And so many of them were eager to hear my thoughts on their writing, which was lovely. With no time to take any photos of individual work – or to jot down any of my favourite creations – I do, at least, remember Reuben’s work really standing out… I just can’t for the life of me remember it in any detail. Today’s visit (like this diary entry) was short but sweet, so I hope to return to Blackhorse again in the not-too-distant future, and perhaps spend the whole day there next time.
