Dear Diary,
What a wonderful way to end the week! I was invited to Gloucester Road Primary to deliver two classroom presentations this afternoon and had an amazing time. It was a shame that Year 6 (was it Year 6?) ended up missing out because of their swimming lesson. But all those who attended were so interested and enthusiastic – especially given that some of them had just had a P.E lesson outside in the pouring rain! It was such a treat to talk to the pupils about my book and explore their love of reading and writing. And we had such fun with my character laminates… at the expense of one of the poor teachers during the first session. (Sorry, sir!) It truly was an afternoon full of fun, magic, and silliness. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I hope all the children did, too. I wonder which of them will make it to the school library first on Tuesday to snap up one of three free copies now in there.
