With a cohort of just under 100 pupils, Grove Primary School in Malvern is a small school… with a HUGE personality.

I had a great day there today and don’t think I stopped smiling from the moment I arrived until long after I left! My audience was wonderfully receptive during my assembly, when I introducing everyone to WARNING: May Contain Dragons.

And during each of my workshops that followed, I got to see the pupils come up with some fantastic creative writing of their own. It was lovely how many of the Year 5 & 6 pupils wanted to show me some of their recent English work, too. There are definitely some future authors in that class!

Congratulations to Elijah for winning my dragon prize. It was so hard to decide on a winner, as there were so many fabulous stories, news articles, songs, and play scripts to choose between. Huge thanks to Mrs Bilke for organising the visit and to all the pupils and staff for a wonderful day!
