Dear Diary,

I received a very warm welcome on a chilly day when I arrived at Highnam Primary Academy today. This was my first visit to Highnam, but I hope it won’t be my last, as the pupils were an absolute joy to spend time with. They were a fantastic audience during my assembly and came up with some brilliant work during each of my workshops. Certificates went flying out here, there, and everywhere, and it was lovely to see Year 3 further inspired to collaborate on a class poem entitled My Dragon Won’t Fit in the Bath straight after my session with them! The pupils at Highnam are clearly all big readers, and it was a real treat to see so many of them heading home with a copy of WARNING: May Contain Dragons, WARNING: Magic Can Be Dangerous!, or both of my books. And from the creativity I witnessed whilst I was there, I have no doubt that I met many future authors during this visit!
