Dear Diary,
More fun in the sun with Uncle John today. And finally, a school in which I didn’t get lost! I spent a glorious day at Norton C of E Primary, getting up to some magical mischief with all the pupils there. And the stories they dreamt up were so inspired. I’m desperate to hear how they all end! The pupils were a credit to the school and shone like stars from the assembly right through to the end of the day. And they got stuck into everything I laid on for them, including drawing Tyler’s incredibly odd uncle – complete with mismatched shoes! I loved seeing my description of him from the book come to life in their drawings. It reminded me how precious reading is, as everyone takes something slightly different away from any particular story, despite all digesting the same words. This was my nineteenth school visit since WARNING: Magic Can Be Dangerous! was published on April 30th. Time really has flown by!
