Dear Diary,

I’ve been so nervous about my first school visit. But the pupils at Dinglewell Junior today were so engaged and receptive for the whole time I was there. It was actually quite overwhelming how much they got involved. There were so many hands up in the air and numerous questions and fun comments meaning the time flew by. I wish I could have stayed for longer. This first visit has given me so much more confidence, and I can’t wait for the next one tomorrow. It was a big group today, too – 270 pupils during an hour-long assembly. Which was a great way to start because it really threw me in at the deep end but also meant there was lots of pupil interaction to tap into. Such fun! The only downside was that I totally forgot to take any photos!!! I hope Dinglewell will invite me back in 2025 with my next book in the series.
