I’m always filled with trepidation the very first time I have to deliver a brand-new assembly for my latest book (fearful that it won’t go down as well as I hope, or that I’ll mess something up terribly). But I don’t think I’ve ever had to deliver a brand-new assembly twice in a row… like I had to today. Talk about throwing myself in at the deep end!

I’m pleased to report that both assemblies seemed to be well received… and I didn’t fluff anything! Phew!!! In fact, I had a super start to my FREE school visits with GRANDMA (WARNING: Grandma’s Gone Bonkers) today.

The pupils couldn’t have been more imaginative and engaged during my workshops, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful from the moment I arrived until the moment I left, and the day couldn’t have gone more perfectly!

Thank you to everyone at Robin Hood Academy for a super launch into my GRANDMA school visits. I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as I did.
