St Peter’s Primary, Harborne

Tuesday January 6th 2026

Huge thanks to all the teachers and pupils at St Peter’s Primary in Harborne for a wonderful start to my FREE School Visits 2026. Despite the snow threatening to throw a spanner in the works first thing this morning (and with many neighbouring schools not opening today), I received a lovely warm welcome from St Peter’s and was blown away by how enthusiastic and upbeat all the pupils were… given that today was their very first day back to school after the Christmas holidays. Special thanks to Alfie and his mum for securing this visit (after meeting me at Harborne Library this summer); Miss Falcon (for her fantastic organisational skills and for looking after me so well); and to the lovely Year 6 Reading Champions – Romilly, Lucy, Kaleah, Zeleya, Josh, Tali, and Maksym (who had some brilliant interview questions for me in the library at lunchtime). Keep reading and writing, everyone! And I wonder who will be awarded my dragon prize tomorrow…
