I had a fantastic time at Longford Park Primary Academy on 10th February… despite the fact that the school ended up having a visit from Ofsted on the same day!!
With a cohort of just under 100 pupils, Grove Primary School in Malvern is a small school… with a HUGE personality.
Some schools really get behind my visits, and Gardners Lane Primary was no exception. In the run-up to my visit, they launched a creative writing competition for their KS2 pupils – based around my first book (WARNING: Magic Can Be Dangerous!) – and there were so many fabulous entries.
B. Ware is excited to announce that Waterstones Clifton will kindly be hosting a launch event for WARNING: Grandma’s Gone Bonkers – in celebration of local young cover illustrator Theo Jarvis – on Wednesday 25th February from 6.30pm.
I had a brilliant time at Berkeley Primary today (despite a broken front suspension spring on my car trying to throw a spanner in the works).
Nursing a bad back is never fun. So, when I set off for Maney Hill Primary at 6.15am on Friday 16th January, I was concerned about whether my back would hold out on the long drive there… and whether I’d manage to make it through the day!
My destination for today’s FREE school visit was Bournville Village Primary in Birmingham, where I hosted two back-to-back assemblies followed by workshops for each of the four KS2 year groups.
I had a super time at Bromesberrow St Mary’s Primary today. This school may be small – with just under 60 students in total – but it has a huge heart, and the pupils there were so polite, happy, and hardworking.

Huge thanks to all the teachers and pupils at St Peter’s Primary in Harborne for a wonderful start to my FREE School Visits 2026. Despite the snow threatening to throw a spanner in the works first thing this morning (and with many neighbouring schools not opening today), I received a lovely warm welcome from St Peter’s and was blown away by how enthusiastic and upbeat all the pupils were… given that today was their very first day back to school after the Christmas holidays.
